Particioating in the workshopsOn March, 22-23 UNHCR in Belarus jointly with the Ministry of Education of the Republic of Belarus and Centre for Children and Adolescents "Evrika" organized a two-day seminar on the topic of working with refugee children for the specialists of the education system from all over Belarus.

The seminar is devoted to organization of work with refugee children and shaping tolerant attitude towards them. Within 2 days the participants were familiarized with the UNHCR and Evrika's initiatives and projects on working with refugee children, as well as took part in workshops and master classes given by professionals working in the field. On March, 22 during the first part of the seminar participants found about the UNHCR mandate, as well as international legal norms relating to refugees, and got acquainted with INA "Evolutio" experience in the area of forming tolerant attitude towards refugees among different target groups.

On March, 23 a practical part of the seminar dedicated to working with refugee children and promoting tolerance towards them took place. A prominent expert with international competence shared her experience in forming and maintaining tolerance among schoolchildren and their families towards the problems which they face fleeing their homes in search of safety. The seminar's participants also took part in workshops and insightful discussions.
